i s o l : transmission04 is a 50 minute investigation of the way radio communications can be mutated, converted and folded into new sonic creations.
The programme depicts the uninterrupted quiver of sound through electromagnetic waves, and reveals what can be inscribed onto multiple radio bands. it maps the apparatus and the dream of radio, through remodulated AM field recordings, sonarised architecture, instrumental traces made audible through deep listening, inflected freqeuencies, and fibre optic utterances. i s o l : transmission04 tracks the radar beat of radio, as it skids between communication and music concrete.
