-
- synopsis:
- the ovalmaschine
is designed to utilise freely available streaming software (the Real Player)
in an online music-making device. The first attempts were browser crashing
monsters (it almost destroyed a friends computer in Austria) but through
a little experimentation we seem to have refined the mechanism.

-
- what it does:
- the ovalmaschine
allows you to recompose arbitrary fragments of decomposed sound, folding
and fusing live net.radio transmissions from around the world, into a personal
audiophonic creation. By clicking on any of the buttons on the device you
will be recalling live audio material from different locations including
Austria, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.
-
- During the gallery launch of eQ, you will also
be able to mix in live audio from Greg Peterkins Ephemera installation
at the opening night.
-
-
-
